Covid – 19 Requirements – Updated September 2022
All arriving passengers into the country are required to be in possession of a COVID-19 vaccination
certificate uploaded on the panabios system.
All travelers above the age of 12 years arriving into the country through any point of entry will be
required to show proof of either COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test conducted not more than
72 hours before departure.
Travelers below the age of 12 years shall be exempted from the requirements of a vaccination
certificate or PCR test.
Any traveler above the age of twelve (12) arriving at any point of entry with no proof of vaccination or a
PCR test or those with flu-like symptoms shall be subjected to a rapid antigen test at their own cost of
30 USD. Any person who tests positive on antigen RDT will be subjected to entry PCR test at their own
further cost of 50 USD and self-isolate as per MOH guidance on isolation. Travelers below the age of
twelve (12) years are exempted from this testing requirement.
From 01 September 2022 travellers are no longer required to fill in the passenger locator form on the
Jitenge Platform unless they are suffering from flu-like symptoms. Those with flu-like systems will also
be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at their own cost.
Verification of COVID-19 documents ; Trusted Travel Code ( TTC )
There will be no paper verification of COVID-19 test results and vaccination certificates upon arrival in
Kenya.
All travelers should complete and upload required verification documents into Global Haven and be
issued with a Trusted Travel Code (TTC) before boarding flight via www.globalhaven.org Airlines are
obliged to ensure compliance with this process.
Fully vaccinated travelers – must complete the form and upload a valid certificate of COVID-19
vaccination.
Eligible unvaccinated travelers – must complete the form and upload a valid COVID-19 negative PCR test
certificate, conducted within 72 hours before departure. Children below 12 years are exempt from this
requirement.
This requirement is mandatory for both vaccinated and eligible unvaccinated travelers.
How it works:
Click on the global haven portal www.globalhaven.org
Create an account, two options will appear (1) Upload vaccine records (2) Validate Test for travel
For fully vaccinated travelers – click on the Upload vaccine records. Choose for self and submit.
Have your vaccine certificate in pdf or jpeg. Complete all data in the form and submit, it to generate a
vaccination pass. Download copy to present on arrival.
Always carry your original vaccination card with you.
For eligible unvaccinated travelers – click on the global haven portal globalhaven.org Create an account
(If you have an existing account with Trusted Travel, sign in and use same) Click on Validate test for
travel. Select the departure country and destination country, select name of the lab where you took the
Covid-19 test – here, select Covid-19 Nucleic acid, RT –PCR – then save.
Travelers are advised to create an account using a valid email address and telephone number, preferably
at the earliest possible, latest 7 days to travel, to use a computer with stable internet when uploading
verification documents.
Travelers are advised to check with their airline on the requirements for travel as they may change from
time to time.

Wearing masks is not mandatory, but is highly recommended for use in indoor functions.
Before Departing Kenya
Passengers traveling out of the country will be required to abide by the particular travel, health and
COVID-19 related requirements of the transit and destination country.
Pre-departure RDT or PCR testing may be considered at the discretion of any of the airlines departing
from or terminating in Kenya. Various International airlines have their regulations concerning Covid-19
travel regulations and are changing from time to time hence we recommend guests check requirements
with their booked airline ahead of time.
Departing Kenya
Kenya does not require a COVID-19 negative test at departure. However, it may be a requirement for
your onward destination or the airline you will be using. Kindly check and let us know so that we can
arrange Covid- 19 test in accordance with your onward flight timings. The test can be done at our Camps
in the Mara or Nairobi at the cost of USD 140 per person.
